Below are the results to both Divisional Singles which were held on Thur 9th Feb 2006

This has to go down as the best night of the season and arguably some time, with most turning up early and then as per the norm a sudden rush of players nigh on the deadline the draw. When the draws were complete it was orders and off, not sure how two separate competitions played on the same boards might turn out. There were eight boards available to us but we chose to use Six as seen in the pictures the other two were to be a practise board which we didn't need due the main board in the main Bar and the other was to be used as a Finals Board and was indeed set up behind the curtains on the stage but due to time we choose to keep the big surprise to a later date ( to Be honest it was just the same as the others ) . Admittedly the Division two singles were taking a little longer than predicted BUT this was not down to slow or even bad games it was down to 9 out of 17 of the early games going the distance 3-2 and 6 games going 3-1 that leaves only two three nils. But the real quality on the night in Division Two came in the form of Dave Simmons Who Played very well all night and had to over come two team mates on route to the title, Steve Manuel in the Final and His own Brother Mick In the Second round. The other finalist Steve Manuel also of the Chiwick Club Had to Play a teammate in every round only fall at the feet of Dave in the Final 3-1.  In division one Most of the favoured players were drawn in the bottom half of the draw with Six times singles winner Myself trying to claim no7 and join the ranks of Bill Slattery and Terry Andrews who have won the HDDA title 7 times each. In the top half saw Graham Inniss reaching the final with wins over The Albion 'A's Gary Bromham, Lynsey Wright and John Barker ( Well Done John For reaching the Semi's) in the semi between Martyn Miles and Jason Clark, Martyn had Clark nailed but couldn't finish only for the very very very very tried Clark ( please note that i'm getting my excuses in now) to slowly come down and ping the winning double to join Graham in the final.
The Final to be fair was very very one sided with Inniss always in control and at 2-1 Clark should have leveled it but failed almost falling asleep as he threw the last dart he was that tried ...... No no only kidding He failed and Inniss stood up and finished off Clark in fine Style......

To sum it all up HOW DO YOU BEAT THAT............. answer....... no need because every night in the Hammersmith and District Darts Association is a Great success for the sport of Darts and Dart players of W6 and surrounding areas... and to be fair now they have what they deserve......... 

Can't wait to use the new set-up again ...... Oh yeah thats next week at the Hammersmith Club (side Bar) for the fours......
